This purpose of this policy is to clearly detail how Cigars of Habanos, hereinafter referred to as (CoH), collects and uses your personal information- written in an FAQ format for ease of understanding and accessibility.


What does personal information include?

We collect certain key data points that allows us to optimize customer experience, manage marketing campaigns, and detect potential fraud. The main types of data we collect, include names, e-mail addresses, IP Addresses, billing information, contact details, and web analytics data.

You are entitled, at any time, to request a full portfolio of your personal information that we have collected and if desired, you may request that we permanently delete it. Unless we have a demonstratable legal need to retain such information, it will be deleted within 5 working days.

We will otherwise retain your personal information for as long as it is relevant to the operation of CoH, or until you close your account with us. 


How do we collect personal information?

When you navigate through our site, we use tracking pixels and cookies to optimize your experience and marketing e-mails (should you have signed up for them). We also collect your information when it is explicitly provided to us through your account registration, purchasing, interaction with CoH media channels, and written correspondence.  


How do we use your personal information?

Firstly, under no circumstances is your personal information shared with a third party for commercial purposes. All analytics are done internally at CoH. Our 100,000+ strong customer list is extremely important to us, and we will never share it.

Internally, we will use your personal information for a variety of processes mainly including, but not limited to operating our site, verifying your identity, managing customer service, fulfilling purchases, general administrative functions, macro analysis regarding purchasing patterns and demographics, and most importantly managing your experience as a customer.

If you have signed up for our marketing e-mails, we will use your data to tailor our promotions to better serve your needs. 


Where and when will we disclose your personal information?

There are a few instances in which we will disclose your information to parties outside of CoH, including: Technical subcontractors for web development services, our professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, financial advisers), regulators and government authorities for purposes of obtaining export permits, financial institutions for payment processes and fraud protection, and when we are compelled by law to do so.


How do we store your information?

We store all our customers’ information on secure servers managed by CoH and our service providers, occasionally we will retain a hard copy of certain aspects of your personal data only when it pertains to fulfilling a recent order.
